Getting New Mexico Field Certified
All volunteers who wish to participate in missions need to be New Mexico Field Certified and Team Certified.
New Mexico field certification is a pretty straight forward process and is outlined in more detail on the NMSARC website.
You will need the following certificates before taking the field certification test:
FEMA ICS 100
FEMA ICS 200
Demonstrated knowledge of the following material:
Study Guide: Search and Rescue Field Certification
Gear and Clothing:
Listed in the study guide above. All volunteers taking the test and going into the field are expected to have a minimum set of gear and clothing. Don't worry, this is a big hurdle if you are starting out and we are here to help. :)
